Terror attack in Houses of Parliament in London

In a terror attack on Wednesday near the Houses of Parliament in London, four people were  killed and several were wounded. The person who made the attack was also killed.

Important Highlights of London Attack

  • Two people and a police offer were killed in the incident. Minimum 20 persons are reported injured. The perpetrator of the crime also met his death.
  • Many of the persons suffering injury were tourists. Romanian and South Korean tourists were also injured in this tragedy.
  • Mayor of London assured that city would not be cowed by terrorism.

Mark Rowley, the acting Deputy Commissioner and head of counter terrorism at the Metropolitan Police, claimed to identify the assaulters but refused to give further details. According to him the attacker was inspired by international and Islamist-related terrorism.

Mrs Theresa May pronounced that the assault was a “sick and depraved” attack on the heart of the capital.  She further said that this type of attempts attempts to defeat UK values were “doomed to failure”.
