Selection Commission will hold Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2015 [SSC – CHSL (10+2) Exam 2015] for recruitment of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators (DEO) and Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC). SSC CHSL (10+2) Exam scheduled to held on Sundays 1st November 2015, 15th November 2015 and 22nd November 2015.

 SSC CHSL 2015 Online Applications Last Date Extended to 22nd July

Keeping in view some difficulties encountered in submitting online  applications  for CHSL  2015  due  to  excessive  rush  at  the last  moment, the Staff Selection  Commission  has  decided  to  extend  the  dates  for SUBMISSION   OF online applications to 22nd July 2015 for Part -I and 24th July 2015 for Part-II.  Check complete details below. Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 01/08/2015 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1988 and not later than 01-08-1997)

Educational Qualification (as on 01/08/2015): Must have passed 12th Standard (Matriculation with +2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Application Fee: ₹ 100/- by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. The Payment of application fee is exempted for all women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation, as per Government orders.

Scheme of Examination: The examination will consist of a Written Examination and Skill Test for the post of Data Operator and Written Test and Typing Test for the post of Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk on Computer.

How to Apply?

Eligible 12th Class Passed Candidates Apply Online or Offline Mode (Prescribed format). The Online Registration have Two Parts: Part-I Registration close on 10/07/2015 up to 5:00 PM; Part-II Registration close on 13/07/2015 up to 5:00 PM. The closing date for receipt of hard copy of applications is 13/07/2015.

Important Dates:

The facility of online Registration will be available -> from 13/06/2015 to 13/07/2015 (upto 5:00 PM)

The last date for submission of hard copy of applications -> 13/07/2015
Examination Dates -> 01/11/2015, 15/11/2015 & 22/11/2015

SSC CHSL Exam Syllabus Details: Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination Syllabus details are given below…
I. General Intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation ,Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/Number Classification, Drawing inferences,Figural Classification, Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding , Semantic Series, Figural Pattern – folding and completion, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Coding and de-coding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations. 
II. English Language: Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage. 

III. Quantitative Aptitude: 

Number Systems: Computation of Whole Number, Decimal and Fractions, Relationship between numbers Fundamental arithmetical operations: Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time and work.
ALGEBRA: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations. 
GEOMETRY: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: 
Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles. 
MENSURATION: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.
TRIGONOMETRY: Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin20 + Cos20=1 etc., 
STATISTICAL CHARTS : Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart 
General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidate‟s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research. 
Note-1: For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBES there will be no component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning / Quantitative Aptitude.
